What
is the TECHNIQUE CLASS? Makela
Tango created this class mixing her ballet/modern dance knowledge with
her expertise in tango. This class is especially designed for
followers, but many leaders have benefited from it, by working on
technique issues that are common for both leaders and followers, and by
getting to know the difficult job of the follower. The first myth that
is discarded is the "JUST FOLLOW" myth. Makela Tango is committed to
creating a supportive community to grow in Tango. The goal of the class
is that you learn tools to be a more effective follower/leader and to
look beautiful and graceful if you are a lady and solid and smooth if
you are a man.

PRACTICA ELECTRICA (7-9 pm) and BEGINNER CLASS (8:30-10 pm) at
the Electric Lodge.

Notice
that there is half hour overlap between the practica and the class
(8:30-9). The first half hour of the beginner class is for
registration, warming up, reviewing what you learned the previous class
and get to know other beginning and advanced TANGUEROS.

improve. They need to sign and pay in advance in order to keep their
slot.

partner but you are interested in participating let me know and I will
try to find a partner for you.

$100 per person for 4 classes paid in advance (no make ups, no refunds,
no transfers).
Instructor approval required prior to the class.
The semiprivate classes:

the specific problems that you are having in social dancing.

things that you might never have heard before in group instruction.

SEMIPRIVATE SERIES
Due to lots of requests Makela Tango will continue with
the "milonga" semiprivate series starting the
week of July 30th. This will be a 5
week series and it will focus on milonga steps, musicality and rhythm.
ALL LEVELS WELCOME.
What is milonga?
Milonga
means two different things: 1) the social event where people meet to
dance tango 2) a type of dance and music which is faster, more playful,
and mischievous. It is a lot of fun. This (2) is what is going to be
the focus of the semiprivate series. If interested please email info@makelatango.com
as soon as possible, with your time preference. Next series start on the
week of July 30th. Limited number of participants
- Thursdays at 9:30 pm (Turn Out)
- 3-4 couples maximum
- $125 for the 5
classes per person paid in advance
